What does resolution mean?

Question:

You state the following:
resolution (float) – interval to determine the number of ties. It should be similar to the resolution of the instrument.

But, what does resolution mean? Does it have a unit? Is this seconds? What should I enter?

Hi,
The resolution units is the same as the unit of your data. It allows the algorithm to decide if data has to be treated as ties, that is as equivalent. For exemple, if your instrument has a resolution of 1, 1.2 and 0.9 will be considered as the same value (ties).
This value has however not much influence on the results, so that an approximative resolution will remain fine.
