Continue to support older glibc versions

debugpy < 1.8.17 has several manylinux wheels, supporting much older glibc versions. I didn't find the issue/PR that led to their removal (perhaps related to #1564?). Is there a way you would consider continuing to support more versions?

I guess that would depend upon the reason for not supporting the older ones. Most likely it's a matter of maintenance. Every version requires testing.

But that issue makes it sound like a security reason. If that's the case, then no we wouldn't go back to supporting older versions.

You can always continue to use the older debugpy though.

It seems to be more about general policy of not using public container images than offering older glibc dependencies. It remains pretty common to offer these, so it would be great if it could be done again.
