shift + enter stopped working

1. Create a simple py script e.g.
   import pandas as pd
   df = pd.DataFrame({'values': range(9)})
   print(df)

2. Select the code using ctrl + A

3. Use shift + enter - nothing happens.

It works if Python Environments extension is switched off.

What is your environment/interpreter selected? In the environment extension panel?
Also did you have setting to send to native repl or not?

Also is the interpreter info from the environment extensioon panel?
