Incorrect message : Installation abandoned

Brief description of your issue

When I upgrade my powershell using winget as follows (running as admin)

winget upgrade --id Microsoft.PowerShell --source winget

I see a message saying Installation abandoned, when clearly as you can see from the screenshot the installation is still running,
and I can confirm that once the installation completed running powershell was upgraded from 7.6.4 to 7.6.5

The Installation abandoned message gives the wrong signal.

The issue is related to the fact that the WinGet command is being executed "inside" PowerShell 7 while PowerShell 7 is running.

Thanks Demitrius Nelon (@denelon), this is a duplicate issue, good to know what the underlying cause is. Hopefully it can be addressed because a misleading message is not a good user experience.
