Describe the solution you'd like
Profile badges for Contributors (merged PRs), Translators, and Proofreaders. Shown on public profiles alongside existing badges, giving volunteers a small, visible way to have their work recognized.
Badge eligibility could be determined automatically:
- Contributor: via the GitHub API, checking for merged PRs authored by the linked GitHub account against the Modrinth monorepo. A minimum PR count could be required so the badge can't be gamed with trivial or low-effort contributions.
- Translator / Proofreader: via the Crowdin API, checking contribution/review stats for the associated Crowdin account, similar to how this is already handled for the Discord bot. Since Crowdin accounts can't be linked to a Modrinth profile directly, this could work as a simple on-demand check using Crowdin OAuth, where the user briefly authenticates to verify their stats rather than maintaining a persistent link.
