This may be a niche feature, but currently npmjs doesn't let you search for organization names before creating one: you either try to type and create, only to see an error if it exists, or you have already created it. I'd prefer a process similar to the npm name check website, where users can check name availability first. Once they decide on a name, they can proceed to create the organization.
