Creating a fork is slow and then the system yanks you back to the fork when it finally appears #32892

Description

@kendonB

What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.707.62119

What subscription do you have?

Pro 20x

What platform is your computer?

Windows (WSL agent)

What issue are you seeing?

I create a fork using "Continue in new task", nothing happens for a minute or so (fine if that's really what it takes), but I click into a third chat while waiting and then I get suddenly yanked back into the fork when it appears.

The correct behaviour is that it appears with the little blue dot indicating it's ready.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

See above

What is the expected behavior?
