In-Context: Unique vs. Repeat Views chart video duration doesn't always match duration of video in course #373

Description

@crathbun428

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Login to Studio as staff, an instructor or admin
  2. Navigate to the Course Outline page for the Open edX Demo Course
  3. Navigate to the unit page for Section 2, Subsection 2, Unit 3
  4. Click on the Analytics button and select the video component in the analytics sidebar
  5. Note the right-most timestamp on the video duration (x-axis labels) in the Unique vs. Repeat Views chart
  6. Note the length of the video embedded within the video component

Expected Results

  1. These two values (the right-most timestamp on the video duration (x-axis label) and the length of the video) should match in most cases (unless the course team decided to edit the video form in Studio to only show a portion of the original video and there is historic video engagement data for the original, longer video to display in this chart)

Actual Results

  1. These two values don't always match. See the Unique vs. Repeat Views chart for the video in Section 2, Subsection 2, Unit 3 in the Open edX Demo Course. (Note: This video shows a segment of the original video, but to my knowledge, the sandbox does not have historic video engagement data that captured unique and repeat video views for the entirely length of the video before studio was edited to show only the ~1 minute segment of video).
  2. See screenshot below to see the mis-match in information:

Notes

This doesn't always appear to be the case. One particular video where it appears to happen is the video in Section 2, Subsection 2, Unit 3 of the Open edX Demo Course.
