dmi_reset is occurring repeatedly

I have successfully installed the riscv-gnu-toolchain and built the RTL simulation platform. However, when running Simple Runtime, I encounter the following behavior:

the terminal continuously prints：# dmi_reset at time 186384301ns
The simulation is performed on Ubuntu 22.04 using QuestaSim 10.7c.
When running the hello example, I did not install the SDK beforehand.

I would like to ask:
Is this terminal output expected/normal behavior?
Is it required to install the SDK before running pulp-runtime-examples/hello?
