In the documentation about using Julia and VSCode, it says:

The extension integrates directly with the Julia Extension to provide the following b58fc729-690b-4000-b19f-365a4093b2ff-7B7B3C206D657461206A7570797465722D6C616E6775616765203E7D7D–specific capabilities:

This doesn't make sense.

Description

Using meta shortcodewith Quarto 1.9.16 does render differently as with Quarto 1.8.27 if the shortcode is part of a "word":

To be clear, the issue is not with one shortcode.

It's for any shortcodes with a trailing dash: {{< ... >}}-.

It is not really a regression as this is working in 1.8.27, so it works in last stable version.

This is just bug introduced in current 1.9 following change in 8704176 for

• Use a safer, two-stage transformation in readqmd.lua #13792

and once again, this is a problem with -- being transformed to en-dash and we do add trailing - in our new UUID replacement (due to +smart extension opt in by default...)
