Newly available function readEot() (as of 6945044) is not yet fully compatible with remote's plot() method. More precisely, the time series of a particular re-imported mode cannot be visualized since its associated values are missing.
The problem could easily be overcome by writing an additional file to disk during eot(..., write.out = TRUE) (or writeEot(...)) containing the required time series values, which may then be re-imported by readEot().
