rc ls

Purpose

rc ls lists buckets or objects. It is a legacy-compatible command; prefer rc bucket list for bucket workflows and rc object list for object workflows.

Syntax

rc [GLOBAL OPTIONS] ls [OPTIONS] <PATH>

Parameters

Parameter	Description
PATH	ALIAS/ to list buckets, or ALIAS/BUCKET[/PREFIX] to list objects.
-r, --recursive	Recursively list objects.
--versions	Show object versions where supported.
--incomplete	List incomplete multipart uploads under a bucket or prefix.
--summarize	Show totals only.

Examples

rc ls local/
rc ls local/reports --recursive
rc bucket list local/reports --versions
rc ls local/reports/archive.tar --incomplete
rc ls local/reports/incoming/ --incomplete --recursive

Behavior

When PATH contains only an alias, rc ls lists buckets. When it contains a bucket, it lists objects under the optional prefix.

--incomplete requires ALIAS/BUCKET[/PREFIX]. Without --recursive, the S3 delimiter limits the listing to the selected level. With --recursive, every incomplete upload whose key begins with the prefix is returned. The command follows both S3 multipart pagination markers until the listing is complete and rejects marker cycles instead of silently returning incomplete results.

Human output includes initiation time, age, upload ID, initiator, storage class, and key. JSON output uses the v3 multipart_uploads family.

Global options shown in command syntax use the same meaning everywhere:
