Bug Description
The Sound Mode QuickTile does not work as describes in the app:
Filed as bug because the description of the feature doesn't match the feature.. hope that makes sense.
Steps to Reproduce
- Add Sound Mode quicktile
- Toggle the tile. Notice DND turning on and verify the actual status using volume buttons.
- Notice there is no Silent option. And when DND is on, the sound mode will be in its previous state (Sound on or Vibrate).
Expected Behavior
Expected: to toggle just like the Pixel toggle above the vertical volume bar, that triggers when the hardware volume buttons are used: Vibrate, Silent, Ring. This also matches the description in Essentials.
Actual behaviour: the QuickTile toggles between Vibrate, DND Mode, Ring.
DND Mode is something completely different from Silent:
- DND disables notifications
- DND will let all sound/vibration notifications and ringtone come through from Favourite contacts.
- It leads to inconsistency with the default Sound toggle above the volume bar (see screenshots).
