Query: Why is Cargo.toml version set to 0.0.0 for control file and how to ensure correct extension version?

Hello,

I am looking at the control file where we are referring to { default_version = '@CARGO_VERSION@' } and in the Cargo.toml file, the mentioned version is 0.0.0. Why are we setting the version as 0.0.0 for the control file, or is there any other way to get the correct extension version? I would like to understand the reasoning or community practices around this and if there are recommended approaches to automate or ensure the correct version gets set for the extension.
