Edit Text does not move up on keyboard initialization

In User Settings, Edit Text does not move up. So users cannot touch any of the buttons in the resulting Dialog.

To reproduce:

Go to User Settings and click on name. The keyboard comes up but there is no change to the position of EditText

I can fix this, can I take up this issue?

I have been playing around with this and it seems like this bug can only be reproduced in certain devices. I ran this on a Nexus 4 and it works fine but the same cant be said about Nexus 5X

Can you find why this is happening? Or the root cause?
