Hi @Osajzad0 — that error means both rendering backends (OpenGL via glow, and DirectX/Vulkan via wgpu) failed to start with "Access is denied." That's not a graphics-driver problem in the usual sense — "Access is denied" specifically points at Windows ACL refusing the renderer to load.

Three usual culprits, in order of likelihood:

1. Antivirus blocking the executable. Windows Defender, Avast, Kaspersky, Comodo — any of them can intercept renderer DLL loads from a recently-extracted unsigned binary and return "Access denied" to the calling process without showing a popup. Quickest test:

• Add mhrv-rs.exe (and the folder it lives in) to your antivirus exclusions
• Re-launch
• If that fixes it, that was the cause

2. Running from a path the AV doesn't trust. If you launched mhrv-rs.exe from inside Downloads, Temp, or a network share, Windows' SmartScreen + AV often quarantine renderer access. Move the whole folder to e.g. C:\mhrv-rs\ or C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Local\mhrv-rs\ and try from there.

3. Running inside RDP / a VM without GPU forwarding. RDP sessions don't expose a real GPU to the desktop session by default — both OpenGL and DirectX fail. Workarounds:

• On the RDP host, enable "Use hardware graphics adapters for all Remote Desktop Services sessions" in Group Policy
• Or: run mhrv-rs locally on the host machine, not via RDP
• VMware/VirtualBox: enable 3D acceleration on the VM settings

To narrow it down, please share:

1. Windows version + build (winver shows it)
2. Which path you launched from (Downloads, Desktop, AppData, network share?)
3. Are you running inside RDP / a VM? Or directly at the console?
4. What antivirus is installed? (Just the product name)
5. Try this exact workaround and report back: copy the entire mhrv-rs folder to C:\mhrv-rs\ and launch from there with antivirus exclusion added

If none of those fix it, paste the full stderr output (the part above what you posted, including any egui_glow requires opengl 2.0+ line) — the ordering of which backend tried first and what error each gave will narrow it down.
