Is there a way to receive control change event from a midi external device?

Thanks for the library, great job. I'm particularly interested in using it the same way as in the midilisten.py script. This works well to receive NoteOn/NoteOff events but it doesn't receive events like Control Change (e.g. when turning a knob on my controller).

Is there a way to receive Control Change events from an external device?

that should just work, not sure why you aren't seeing control changes. perhaps it's another channel or something? if you provide some more context, i might be able to help.

Hi, here are more details:

• I have two controllers: a KORG Nanokey and Nanokontrol (first gen). The first one is a piano (just notes) and the second one an interface with knobs and faders (CCs).
• Both are seen in the output of mididumphw.py
• When running midilisten.py with the client and port indicated by mididumphw.py, it prints the events from the Nanokey but not those of the NanoKontrol. This is also the case when plugging only one controller at a time.
• I'm on Ubuntu 15.04

From what I follow, midilisten.py calls event_read() from sequencer.py, which seems to handle only S.SND_SEQ_EVENT_NOTEON and S.SND_SEQ_EVENT_NOTEOFF events.
