What

Rewrites the tool and input descriptions of @affitor/mcp (stdio). No schema, validation or behaviour change.

  • Each tool states its purpose, when to use it and what it returns.
  • Each input states its meaning, where the value comes from, an example and what leaving it out does.
  • Claims checked against the tracking API: the click endpoint needs ?aff= (or ?via=) and returns click_id, partner_code, cookie_window_days; a refund amount adds to earlier refunds up to the sale amount, a retry with the same invoiceId and amount is ignored, and a full refund leaves the amount out (a v2 sale answers 400 to 0).

Why

Glama grades each tool on purpose, usage guidance and parameter meaning, and the awesome-mcp-servers listing waits on a Glama server entry for this repo. The hosted server got the same treatment in affiliate-cms#596.

Checks

  • vitest: 20/20.
  • Built server, tools/list with AFFITOR_MCP_WRITE=1: 7 tools, every description has a usage line and is at most 400 characters, every input has a description.

… what omitting it does

Descriptions only; no schema, validation or behaviour change. Every tool now
states its purpose, when to use it and what it returns; every input states its
meaning, where the value comes from, an example and what leaving it out does.
Claims checked against the tracking API (click needs ?aff= or ?via=, refund
amounts add up to the sale amount, a retry with the same amount is ignored).

Codex r1: the SDK click call carries no program scope, so the API cannot
refuse another program's click id here; tell agents to send only their own.
A v2 sale answers 400 to a refund amount of 0; a full refund leaves it out.
