Issue

Feature request: Add the curated pedagogical seed dataset for cognate transformation rules (cognate_rules_seed.json) under data/seeds/ as specified in docs/DATA.md and docs/INGESTION.md.

Solution

  • Created data/seeds/cognate_rules_seed.json and data/seeds/BUILD.bazel with 12 core Latin/English-to-Spanish suffix transformation rules (-tion -> -ción, -sion -> -sión, -ty -> -dad, -ly -> -mente, -ous -> -oso, -ic -> -ico, -al -> -al, -ct -> -cto, -nce -> -ncia, -ary -> -ario, -ive -> -ivo, -ble -> -ble), gender rules, spelling notes, and 6–7 high-frequency word pairs per rule.
  • Updated CognateRulesProcessor to handle nullable gender_rule via contentOrNull and added parseRules / parseExamples helpers with CognateRuleExample.
  • Added SeedDatabase.queryCognateRules() and unit tests in PreprocessorTest verifying schema integrity and 100% parity between every seed example pair and CognateDetector.matchesCognate.

Adds the checked-in data/seeds/cognate_rules_seed.json dataset covering the 12 core English-to-Spanish suffix transformation rules for the Word Transformer toolbox module, along with structured example parsing, database query support, and unit tests verifying CognateDetector parity.
