LaTeX Editor is a desktop LaTeX editor with an instant PDF preview, SyncTeX forward and reverse search, and a LaTeX aware spell checker. It is aimed at people who want an offline alternative to Overleaf.
Checked locally against the published AppImage before opening this PR:
wget, no authenticationappdir-lint.shchecks:AppRunpresent and executable,.DirIconpresent and in PNG format, exactly oneIconkey in the desktop entrydesktop-file-validateexits cleanly on the.desktopfileubuntu-22.04, so it runs on the oldest still supported Ubuntu LTS. A release gate refuses to publish the AppImage if any dependency of the Qt xcb platform plugin is left unresolved, so it does not rely on packages being present on the target system.zsyncfile is published next to the AppImageThe application needs a TeX distribution to compile documents, but it starts and shows its interface without one.
