Summary

Make the portable engineering standards discoverable when writing or reviewing code without replacing local policy or product specifications.

What changed?

  • Add the approved coding_standards.md unchanged.
  • Add a conditional pointer in AGENTS.md while preserving stricter local rules.
  • Connect CLAUDE.md to the shared AGENTS.md guidance.

Behaviour changes

None.

Proof

Not applicable: documentation and an instruction pointer only; no rendered UI, product behaviour, generated project, or device interaction changed.

Reviewer view

Not applicable: a small docs-only diff; the changed-file view is the complete implementation.

Verification Summary

  • git diff --check: passed.
  • Canonical bytes and preservation of all existing instruction text: passed.
  • Exact docs-only diff reviewed; no code, configuration, CI, or runtime changes.
  • Normal pre-commit (npm run check) and pre-push (npm test) hooks passed.

Risk and rollback

Low: contributor guidance only. Revert this documentation commit to roll back.

CI status

Hosted checks will be observed after opening. No merge or auto-merge requested.

Notes

Device proof: Not applicable: documentation and an instruction pointer only; no rendered UI, product behaviour, generated project, or device interaction changed.

PR Proof Law

Proof exemption above applies; no screenshot placeholders.
