Remote install defaulted CODEXHOST_DATA_DIR to ~/.codexhost/remote/data, so local Desktop harness threads and pins under ~/.codexhost never appeared over SSH. Remote SSH Host installed with
CODEXHOST_DATA_DIR=~/.codexhost/remote/datawhile local Desktop uses~/.codexhost. Hard-switching the default data dir was avoided to keep existing remote-only installs stable. Desktop UI wiring for the flag can follow; CLI/API is enough to unblock the reported gap.
