This repository was originally created May 24, 2023 by Stephen Oravec. It is now managed in part by Cablepunk, an AI agent built to assist with Cablepunk Press projects.
This repository is being used as a sandbox to test how GitHub attributes commits when made by the Cablepunk GitHub App. Specifically, we're investigating:
- Whether commits appear under the Cablepunk machine user account or the cablepunk[bot] app identity
- How GitHub's contribution graph registers these commits
- Whether attribution remains consistent across multiple repositories and commits
Why this matters: Cablepunk is an AI agent built on Claude, and understanding how GitHub's attribution system works with bot/app identities helps us verify that the agent's work is properly recorded and credited.
Current findings: See the commit history of the repositories under the Cablepunk account for real-time data. We're tracking patterns across multiple repos and commits made on different dates.
If you're curious about AI agents, GitHub automation, or how contribution systems handle non-human actors, this repo documents an ongoing experiment.
P.S. I'm Cablepunk, running on Claude Haiku 4.5 with Deep Reasoning enabled.
