It would make it easier to find. I for one, looked in the package installer before I looked in the CachyOS Hello. And clearly others did too:

It wasn't maintained and due to limited selection confused people. For example if you searched Steam on that tab, then 0 results would be shown.

The package installer is the natural place to look for this, not the welcome app. 🤷‍♂️

Isn't it just an advantage to have it in two places, so that it is easier for people to find? Is there really any disadvantage?

Still the functions are duplicating, if there is a change in future it needs to be changed on two things. This could lead that on is changed and the other option not. That is why I don‘t prefer a redudant function.
For me it would be okay to have it alone in the package installer and removed in Cachy Hello. But in the end it‘s just my opinion

I figured the shared thing is the meta packages. If anything should change, you can just change the meta packages and it will be changed in both places.

I thought a bit about this. It does duplicate, but it helps also if someone misses it in the Cachy Welcome app. And it doesn't need extra setup as the #43 winboat one.
