What is Caddy?

Caddy is a modern web server that can serve sites, act as a reverse proxy, and automate HTTPS certificate management for configured domains.

Quick start

$zip = ".\caddy-2.11.7-windows-amd64-original.zip"
Invoke-WebRequest "https://github.com/CaddySoftware/caddy-download/releases/latest/download/caddy-2.11.7-windows-amd64-original.zip" -OutFile $zip
Expand-Archive $zip .\caddy
cd .\caddy
.\caddy.exe version

The command above downloads the ZIP directly from the CaddySoftware GitHub Release and extracts it locally.

.\caddy.exe run --config .\Caddyfile

Example Caddyfile:

example.com {
    reverse_proxy 127.0.0.1:8080
}
