cap record --mode instant started recordings without a start gate. Its audio was then anchored at the first audio sample while the screen started at its first encoded frame, so a microphone that became ready late played early by its start-up delay. The suite's real-capture recording/instant/late-mic case measures about 1 s on both 0.6.0 and main.

• The desktop app already starts every recording behind a gate (session.start()); this gives the CLI the same start, armed as soon as the recording is built since the CLI has no start cue.
• Behind the gate both tracks start at the arm time, and Instant audio is anchored there (fix(recording): anchor gated Instant audio at the recording start on every platform #2650).
• A 4 s CLI Instant recording on macOS: video 3.93 s, audio 4.01 s, both starting at 0; on main the audio ran 4.18 s because it included capture before the screen started.
