What issue is this solving?

Closes #37

Description

• updated Tailwind config to extend rather than override the default color palette
• removed all CSS that wasn't doing anything
• converted everything except for the fancy gradients into the corresponding Tailwind classes

Any helpful knowledge/context for the reviewer?
