The public installer still downloads WorkBuddy 0.4.0, which lacks the MCP ownership fix merged in #139. Prepare a new immutable 0.4.1 public-testing release, preserving existing release assets.
Synchronize the runtime, connector, installer URLs, lockfile and fixture versions. Rebuild the embedded installer guide and update the public bootstrap's installer digest. The release retains its prerelease status and existing real-device acceptance gates.
Validation: 497 unit tests, build, runtime validation and packaging pass. Handoff and curl-entry Python checks pass (25 tests); directory-access checks pass (3 tests) using the official Node runtime. Packed smoke passes: fresh/cached stdio runtime, installer preflight, HTTP receipt migration, preserved conflicts, open-desktop installation, idempotency and active-service refusal, all in isolated configurations. Archive inspection confirms the installer equals the reviewed source and contains the fix.
Publication uses the existing WorkBuddy release workflow after merge, followed by download/checksum/content verification of the package selected by official install.sh. No user WorkBuddy configuration or running host is modified.
