Senior Backend Engineer · Python · Go · Fintech · Remote
I'm a backend engineer with nearly 6 years of experience, 3 of them in fintech. I build Python services that hold up in production: FastAPI APIs, event-driven pipelines on Kafka and RabbitMQ, and PostgreSQL-backed systems where query plans and migrations matter as much as the endpoints.
Lately I've been working on bulk document ingestion with LLM-based OCR extraction, multi-stage approval workflows, and open-banking transaction sync for a UK property-management platform.

- fastapi-starter — a FastAPI app template with SQLAlchemy 2.0 already set up.
- tempo-commit — fills in Tempo worklogs from your git commit history.
- A competitive-programming platform (Django REST, Celery) that runs submissions in isolated Docker containers. I wrote the problem sets for a two-week coding marathon with ~200 participants.
