Automated PR
Task: What to change: The left side menu.
Description: What to change: The left side menu.
Do not change: Anything outside the listed elements under “Acceptance criteria”
Acceptance criteria:
a. One actively taps the arrow to collapse the sub-categories
b. One taps another main category, outside the current active sub-category.
Source: slack
Requested by: U04E9DZ5ELF
Classification: flow
Changes
Update sidebar submenu behavior so the expand/collapse toggle only fires when tapping the chevron arrow (not the whole parent row), tapping a sub-item never collapses its parent, and tapping a different main category collapses any currently expanded submenu.
Security Review
Status: pass
No security issues found. The diff is a pure UI refactor to the sidebar component (changing expand/collapse behavior and splitting a button into separate clickable regions). No new dependencies, no user input handling, no authentication, no data flow, no XSS/injection vectors, and no secrets introduced.
