Coordinate open-issue resolution and dynamic LOD completion #193

Open

Description

@mvalancy

Current owner steering (2026-10-28): readable, well-organized graph symbols and schematic/harness-style ports and buses; no tangled wires or tiny/thin text. Keep one headed preview for feedback, small serial local checks and heavy matrices in CI. Main promotion remains parked while the visual path is completed. All work must survive a host/session loss through pushed clean commits, reviewable PRs and issue-based recovery.

The owner requested resolution of all open issues and completion of dynamic LOD with thorough testing, focused PRs, discussion and help requests. This tracker remains open until the linked acceptance criteria are actually met. Transfer CodeGraph ideas only; no shared libraries.

Current state,2026-10-29 UTC:

Work Current route Remaining acceptance
Nested dynamic LOD and group wiring #215 / #219 closed, merged #216, accepted dev 007148f Independent source/artifact reviews and exact composition verified. Pre-merge CI40637051106 / Comprehensive40637051104 and post-dev CI40640788120 / Comprehensive40640788203 passed. Nine final clean unchanged reports: 102 passing cases, no failures/warnings/skips/evidence errors, plus three living-effects cases. Six nested PNG/geometry pairs checked. Earlier failures retained; first group-routing slice accepted, full item wiring stays #220.
Durable unsent layouts #181 / merged #213 Closed after final aggregate dev77899e98 CI/Comprehensive and actual strict9-case artifact passed; intermediate cancelled run is not counted.
Self-host OS triage #209 / merged #214 Closed after final dev CI and actual runtime/scan artifact verification. Maintained Trixie base;162 unresolved OS entries remain explicit, not a clean-image claim.
AI system authoring/transfer #217 — focused help requested Actual JSON/import/export/MCP/API round trips with portable semantic paths, fresh IDs, exact relations and owned fixtures. This avoids overlapping the active renderer work.
Exact relationship exploration #218 closed through #216 Original IDs/directions/types, internal/bundle/item-neighborhood lists, high-degree hub/self-loop partitions, filters and inspection return accepted on dev007148f. Actual keyboard/touch, unchanged API snapshots and strict cleanup passed.
Detailed item wiring and relationship priority #220 owned, foundation #221 accepted; #224 merged and accepted on dev a531823 Essential/Dependencies/All, exact original-pair and directional fallback accepted. Post-dev CI40764224407 / Comprehensive40764224527 passed; independent audit verified110 strict cases and93 attachments, exact parents/tree. Earlier377 failures retained. Do not close220 for priority alone; item obstacle routing/buses remain unfinished.
Readable graph workspace #222 closed / #223 merged and accepted, dev 4a6d75d Measured cards/labels,500/600 typography,14px supporting text,18px full titles,3px item wires and44px icon navigation. Pre/post-dev workflows passed. Independent final post-dev audit verified108 strict cases,72 attachments,6 archive hashes and exact parents/tree. Initial saved-position repair, straight item-wire crossings and162self-host OS findings remain explicit limits. Inspector exceptions are225.
Inspector readability #225 closed / #226 accepted on dev00f0211 Independent actual post-dev CI40791830672 / Comprehensive40791830642, strict artifacts and runtime provenance accepted. Owned branches/worktrees cleaned after dependency checks.
Fresh production dependency advisories #227 closed / #228 accepted through226/dev00f0211 Fresh production audit0 and installed consumers, reviewed exact composition and post-dev acceptance complete.162self-host OS entries remain explicit.
Your agent organization #229 closed / #230 accepted on dev4b825b1 Actual post-dev CI40798877781 / Comprehensive40798877799 accepted;13 strict reports115passes122attachments plus fresh runtime provenance independently audited.
Overview bus interaction #231 closed / #232 accepted, with #236 correction on actual dev 479edf61 Actual post-dev CI 40820579099 / Comprehensive 40820579055 and independent raw-artifact review accepted: 13 strict reports, 117 passes, 140 attachments. Actual 2k bus exposes 143 exact directed originals; 24px hit targets, endpoint emphasis, keyboard/focus/camera/no-write guards and bounded 14px/600 captions pass. Original dev17acc25 five-second failure retained; broader spacing stays #220/#233.
Overview rendering budget #235 closed / #236 merged and accepted, actual dev 479edf61 Hidden terminal item work skipped; current cards/routes/arrows refreshed before paint on automatic/manual Items return. Actual 2k/5k load 22.190s; browser zooms 3.0525/2.9758/3.5721s under unchanged 45s/5s guards. Full final snapshots/no-write/errors, desktop/phone actual arrow paint and fresh runtime provenance independently accepted.
Clean topology and spatial margins #233 / draft #234, pushed8516bc5 Radial hubs, chains/cycles/components,64/20/16 overview clearance and bounded refinement. Reviewed lifecycle fixes + full9/5 desktop/phone painted/save/reload cases pass4/4 in45.7s; initial phonerejection/fadedcaptures retained. Final overview shown/total coverage chunk, exact-source review, hosted scale/nested gates and actual post-dev acceptance pending. Detailed routes/buses stay220.
Hosted D1 acceptance #182 — help requested Existing Pages preview shares production API. Prepare isolated staging/fixture implementation or identify an approved owned target; local emulation and read-only reachability are insufficient.
Required dev checks #187 Concrete protection proposal prepared; approval remains pending. No protection change performed.
Main promotion #189 / existing #191; parked recovery branch audit/core-main-refresh-20261028 at published 6936283 Refresh composition with final reviewed dev, rerun production acceptance and obtain required main authority/review. Dev admin authorization does not cover main.
Release/deployment #190 — focused implementation help requested Immutable-SHA gates, negative controls, per-service provenance and concrete deployment adapter before enabling writes. No registry/release/deploy action authorized by this tracker.
Larger graph completion Architecture LOD-3/6/7/8/9 Per-region budgets, bounded rendering and measured1k/5k-edge plus10k/50k-edge paths; authorized revision-aware loading, hosted parity and final delivered-version acceptance.

#183/#184/#185/#186/#203/#205/#208 are closed with reviewed fixes and successful final dev780a759 CI/Comprehensive evidence linked in their closeout comments. That work includes server CAPTCHA proof, token/provider/reset boundaries, dependency/toolchain updates, runtime packaging and their corrections. Earlier failures are retained. The initial LOD overview is integrated; it does not alone satisfy this feature.

For a helping agent: claim an issue with exact branch/worktree and bounded scope before editing; start from live dev, read AGENTS.md and the dev integration playbook, preserve other worktrees, use disposable fixtures with edge-first cleanup, retain failures, obtain independent exact-source review and report actual CI artifacts. #217, #182 and #190 are useful independent assignments; #225 is now root-owned in226; #220 remains owned for the next priority/routing slice; #221 is accepted; #223 is accepted and its owned branch/worktree removed; #224 is merged and accepted; its owned temporary branch/worktree can be removed. Claim and coordinate before changing renderer/shared routing modules. Do not edit the owner's localhost graph or treat a PR/local note as completion.

The detailed continuation is docs/architecture/dynamic-graph-lod.md; current nested implementation updates it in #216. Keep this tracker open for uncompleted work and report blocked environment/authority requirements explicitly.

The separately requested graphdone.com agent Markdown slice is complete in Cloud PR #4, merged 7d303098, with Cloud issue #3 closed and post-merge CI40726351874 passed. Native Markdown responses, public guidance and production evidence are committed; this does not establish Core hosted mutation parity.

Next execution order:

  1. Finish226 exact-source/full-artifact acceptance and post-dev closeout for225. The priority checkpoint224 is accepted; retain its earlier failed377 and visually rejected phone evidence. Preserve stable priority choices, incoming/outgoing semantics and exact original counts.
  2. Continue220 with a bounded item neighborhood, measured card/control obstacles, stable ports and shared trunks, one common route/hitbox/arrow/label geometry and exact deferred/boundary accounting. The current group router is a reference, not a drop-in item router: a read-only perturbed-card probe exhausted its Cartesian grid at16cards. Evaluate sparse routing or a bounded grid with explicit endpoint stubs before implementing; do not raise the guard blindly.
  3. Prove small chain/hub/cycle/parallel/opposite/self-link/phone cases with actual paint and a deliberate spaghetti negative, then extend the existing2000/5000 zoom/pan gate without weakening geometry, useful-content or no-write requirements. Review pictures and counts.
  4. Integrate independently claimed217 portable-authoring work as its evidence clears. Preserve ownership and do not bundle broad authoring changes with renderer work.
  5. Complete broader193 loading/render budgets, revision-bound data and10k/50k paths. Transfer CodeGraph ideas such as parent fallback during descent, per-region coverage, hysteresis and camera stability; no shared code or smaller text floors.
  6. Complete owned hosted182 acceptance and separately authorized189/main and190/deployment paths. Successful Core tests do not establish hosted parity or release readiness.187 protection changes retain their own approval boundary.

Live headed preview uses a separately copied301-item/370-relationship localhost graph; the original was reread unchanged. Initial viewing repaired164positions in the owned copy under an existing policy, so already-clear-fixture no-write evidence must not be generalized to arbitrary colliding layouts. The current overview's101visible text samples meet14px/500minimums; this is scoped visible-preview evidence, not proof of every inspector/view. Source audit exceptions are recorded in225.

    Progress on 2026-10-27:

Help assignments remain unclaimed: #181 durable unsent layout recovery is the preferred independent task; #182 owned hosted D1 acceptance and the OAuth provider identity/linking portion of #184 are additional opportunities. Please claim the issue with branch/worktree before edits and use live dev. No shared CodeGraph library, production deployment, release, main merge, or branch-protection change has been performed.

    Progress update, 2026-10-27:

Work Current result / next gate
LOD first slice #192 Merged into dev; final and post-merge gates passed. Top-level semantic overview, exact-item inspection/back camera, stable labels and typed bundles are available. Full multilevel/progressive LOD is still open under the canonical plan.
Production dependency #186 Undici #194 and UUID #196 merged with verified post-merge CI. Router #198 and CSS #199 are independently reviewed; final CI still pending.
Editor focus #200 / #201 Fix merged; post-merge browser run is still running. The issue remains open pending actual results.
CAPTCHA #183 / #195 Independently reviewed; local real production-mode CAPTCHA browsers 4/4 passed. Latest stack includes reviewed harness fixes; final current-head CI pending.
Auth lifecycle #184 / #197 and #202 Token purpose/revocation plus OAuth verified identities implemented. OAuth review found and fixed preregistration takeover and malformed-profile crash paths; 49 focused tests and 211 server tests passed. Final current-head CI pending.
Harness #203 / #204 Separate reviewed fix prevents detached Git maintenance in disposable fixtures. Negative control fails old setup; Git 2.43/2.55 CLI checks pass. Final CI pending.
Tooling #185 Compatible Vite 7.3.7 / Vitest 4.1.12 / React plugin 5.2.0 work underway in isolated branch. Runtime packaging, Turbo and Mermaid remain separately scoped.
Layout durability #181 Still available for another implementation agent; no claim received. Existing help request and acceptance criteria remain current.
Hosted D1 #182 Owned hosted acceptance still needed; local Core/emulator tests do not establish it.
Protected checks #187 Read-only four-check proposal prepared; no protection mutation performed.
Main #189 / #191; release #190 Main-promotion PR remains separate. No release/deployment is claimed; publication/deployment implementation and authorization remain outstanding.

Current integration order: Router #198 → fixture maintenance #204 → CSS #199 → CAPTCHA #195 → token #197 → OAuth #202. Each needs independently reviewed composition, final checks, live-base recheck, verified merge tree/parents, and post-merge CI before closeout. Earlier failed and cancelled runs are retained as such.

Help request: an additional agent can claim #181 or the separately scoped runtime-image packaging slice of #185, or establish #182 owned hosted acceptance with its existing authority. Please comment with owned branch/worktree and scope to avoid overlapping edits. No shared CodeGraph/GraphDone library is planned.

    Current resolution update (2026-10-27):

Help requests #181 (durable layout queue) and #182 (owned hosted D1 acceptance) remain unclaimed. Please claim an issue before editing to avoid conflicting work. This inventory is not a completion claim: the deeper 1k/10k LOD milestones, main/release path, runtime packaging and protected-check policy still have explicit outstanding gates.

Continuing with concrete PRs and retained failures:

Integration proceeds through reviewed LOD/camera readiness, CSS #199, CAPTCHA #195, token purpose #197, OAuth #202, toolchain #206 and runtime packaging #211. Each changed composition needs fresh review/CI and resulting dev verification. No main promotion, release or deployment is claimed.

Help remains requested on #181 (durable layout queue), #182 (owned hosted D1 acceptance) and #209 (Debian findings). Please claim a bounded issue/branch before editing to avoid overlap. #187's concrete protection change still awaits owner authorization; existing protections are unchanged. Multilevel grouping, bounded 1k rendering and progressive 10k LOD remain on the canonical completion plan.

The reviewed dependency stack has now been integrated natively into dev at 780a7599d1d7949d5e0fac56091f0b07bb0e6e0d. Full-tree verification matches tested/reviewed source 525ca4e5aa5bd4a918ad85165d0f2a0e8caf59ac, tree cffa8b8a7903b9609603f1c42978511d900678f6. This includes corrected LOD/camera and idle-motion tests, CAPTCHA, token/OAuth security, dependency/toolchain work, and actual runtime image contracts. Every source PR passed its applicable final CI and independent review before native dev-only admin integration.

Closeout is still pending: final integrated CI 40608084487 and Comprehensive 40608084489 are running. Superseded intermediate runs were cancelled and are not credited as passes. #183/#184/#185/#186/#203/#205/#208 remain open until those final results and artifacts are inspected. #209 retains the 228 Debian OS inventory findings; zero npm findings is not full-image clearance.

I have taken #181 in isolated fix/durable-layout-recovery-20261027. Independent review caught stale-tab replay, retransmission after accepted-save receipt cleanup failure, late hydration, and discard ordering defects. Seven negative ordering tests were retained before correction; the current 30 focused queue/storage/hook tests pass. Browser durability, process-loss, account/access and renderer acceptance are still required; no PR acceptance claim yet.

#182 hosted parity and #209 OS triage help requests remain available for another agent. #190 immutable-source deployment gating is still open. #187 protection change is awaiting the owner's explicit answer to the existing question. Main, releases, deployments and protection have not changed. The broader dynamic LOD roadmap remains open beyond the first dense-graph overview slice.

Final integrated dev acceptance is complete for 780a7599d1d7949d5e0fac56091f0b07bb0e6e0d. CI 40608084487 and Comprehensive 40608084489 passed every applicable job. Downloaded strict browser artifacts confirm 6 smoke, 42 new-user, 2 LOD, 7 route, 27 mobile and 3 performance cases without failed/warned/skipped cases or invalid execution evidence. Full and production fresh-cache audits both report zero findings on 2026-10-28 UTC. Actual final image scans retain 228 Debian OS entries under #209; this is not full-image clearance.

Closed after per-issue evidence discussion: #183, #184, #185, #186, #203, #205 and #208. Their PRs are natively integrated into dev; main, deployment, release and protection remain unchanged.

#181 is still in an isolated worktree. Its current strict browser gate passes 8/8 with zero retries: reload before ACK plus delayed real IndexedDB hydration; complete owned browser-process-group SIGKILL/restart; graph-switch simulation ownership; actual two-tab quota conflict; logout/account isolation; revoked writes/deleted node and graph plus Settings discard; real accepted-save cleanup failure without retransmission; unavailable storage/Web Locks. Full local coverage invocation passes 739 tests plus the 26 explicitly separate DB cases, and harness tests pass 193/193. These are preliminary dirty-worktree results; final review/PR/CI are still required. A final pending-layout LOD camera/label regression is being added.

Remaining Core issues are #181, #182, #187, #189, #190, #193 and #209. Cloud, DevOps and LandingPage currently have no open issues. Hosted D1 #182 and OS triage #209 remain available for a claimed helper; no helper has claimed them. The broader LOD roadmap is still open beyond the initial overview slice.

Additional CodeGraph ideas for the remaining LOD acceptance, reviewed read-only at Graphlings commit c5fb0089f4672d1d33c4fbf6c54bef63feab2636 (these three source/test paths are clean):

    • LOD size bands and hysteresis separate representation thresholds from data identity. GraphDone should preserve an admitted parent until useful children can actually paint. Retain its current readable text floors and avoid inheriting fade formulas that make working text dim.
    • Descent without an empty interval checks intermediate zoom stages, not just endpoints. Extend GraphDone’s existing large-scene gate to sample the populated region throughout overview/item handoff, using actual painted summaries/cards and a deliberate missing-parent/delayed-child negative. Existing endpoint timings alone do not prove every intermediate frame has useful content.
    • Dense-region coverage accumulates the identities actually drawn while zooming the densest region. Carry this into future bounded rendering: every original must become reachable through a defined zoom/pan/inspection journey, even when a local rendering budget prevents simultaneous paint. Test a deliberately truncating admission implementation so a small fixture cannot falsely establish coverage.

These are techniques and test-design references, not a shared library, a CodeGraph change, or new executed GraphDone acceptance. No CodeGraph browser/daemon/indexing job was started. Keep the present readability/priority candidates frozen while their final gates complete; this extends the already published #220/#193 continuation.

Follow-up #225 is ready for a separate implementation agent: active inspector code bypasses the shared text floor (11–13px), and nested previews render6px truncated labels over up to600thin lines. The issue records the verified consumers, isolated scope, truthful partial-data counts and desktop/phone visual acceptance. Claim ownership before editing; this avoids overlap with current priority PR224 and main item routing220. Readability222 remains closed for its accepted scope; this newly found inspector exception is explicitly unfinished.

    2026-10-28 continuation checkpoint:

Resume from the PR heads and actual workflow IDs above, not an old green predecessor. Each fix includes canonical guidance and symptom-index entries. No main publication/deployment is authorized by these dev integrations.

    Closeout: #231 and #235 are closed after actual post-dev acceptance of merged PR #236 at 479edf61a2e5f964de9034b6b7da26d2ffb4c11f (source-equal tree b6bf17add278fb1f49f1bf837e868df81ff9525c, exact parents dev17acc25 + cc7bcb9).

Actual CI, Comprehensive, and the independent actual-revision audit passed. The strict archive has 13 clean unchanged-source reports, 117 passing cases, zero failed/warned/skipped cases, and 140 valid attachments. Actual 2k/5k load was 22.190 s and browser zooms were 3.0525 / 2.9758 / 3.5721 s with unchanged guards, zero hidden terminal item passes, correct Items refresh, exact final snapshots and no writes/errors. Actual desktop/phone arrow paint and all final runtime-image contracts/scans were independently audited.

The original actual-dev performance failure, source/input negatives and corrected arrow-order finding remain documented and linked in #235 / PR #236. No local browser or heavy matrix was run for the correction. Only its owned merged branch/worktree is being cleaned after dependency/process checks; the shared #230 installation and sanitized acceptance artifacts are retained.

This closes the overview interaction/performance follow-up. #233/#234 and #220 remain open for useful dense local neighborhoods, offscreen connections and broader routing/spacing; this acceptance does not cover their later source composition. The broader #193 completion path remains open.
