Make inspector code and nested diagram previews readable #225
Inspector code and nested diagram previews were unreadable at small sizes, and long titles, narrow mode controls and modifier-key changes exposed inspection/gesture failures.
Resolved by #226, merged into dev 00f0211fe301c7c05281e1b6b5f1e416413b7d76. The exact reviewed composition and actual post-dev CI are accepted in the independent final audit.
Readable code/tables and bounded semantic previews with honest fetched-data counts.
Full long titles, keyboard-accessible icon captions and usable short/compact inspector layouts.
No inspection-only position writes; Alt intent remains safe across modifier release.
Focused controls, real desktop/phone journeys and deliberately failing old-source negatives retained.
Independent exact-source review, full final gates, merge provenance and actual post-dev artifact acceptance.
Actual branch evidence: 12 strict reports, 112 passes, 104 verified attachments; 828 unit and 203 harness cases on both Node versions, with 26 existing database-gated unit skips. The actual inspector screenshots and gesture recovery receipts were inspected. Earlier timeout/advisory/build failures remain in PR discussion and canonical lessons.
Detailed wire crossings remain #220; portable parent-sheet counts remain #217. This closure does not claim complete dynamic LOD, hosted parity, main publication or deployment. Canonical guidance is in the inspector/gesture/control lessons indexed under .agents/issues/INDEX.md.
Claiming this isolated slice on feat/readable-inspector-20261028 in an owned worktree. Base is merged dev a531823 (priority224), whose post-dev checks40764224407/40764224527 are running under independent review. No other claim was present. Scope: readable markdown/code and bounded nested-graph preview with honest counts, focused component/browser evidence. Main renderer/routing220 stays separate; one local headed browser only. Please coordinate before editing these inspector components.
Implementation checkpoint: draft #226, pushed source cfd7c24, base accepted dev a531823. Root owns this branch; no separate implementation claim is needed now.
Done: readable code, bounded nested semantic preview, honest capped/loading/pending counts, wrapping title, usable table widths and docked minimap clearance. Local final desktop/phone 2/2 passed (37.97s); seven focused pure/component cases passed; TypeScript passed; scoped lint exited0 with315 warnings/0 errors. All four final screenshots inspected. Previous old-renderer failure, no-op-write failure, visually rejected green run and missing fixture variable failure retained.
Scope clarification: the actual no-write browser guard caught D3 drag-end posting unchanged positions on ordinary clicks. Root also owns #220, and made the narrow renderer correction required for safe inspection. Real drag/recovery passed13.06s. Workspace change is limited to bounding the docked inspector above a visible minimap.
Next: independent exact-source review, applicable complete hosted CI, artifact inspection, then dev-only integration and post-dev acceptance. Do not close225 from local green alone. Stored Graph.nodeCount/edgeCount can still show stale parent-sheet counts; the new preview counts actual fetched data. This separate stored-count limitation remains explicit and must be tracked, not presented as repaired by connecting the fixture's subgraph relation.
Resume: feat/readable-inspector-20261028, PR226. Local browser evidence is in the owned inspector evidence directory; the new case is enrolled in the unified new-user sequence so hosted artifacts are durable. The heavy matrix runs in GitHub, with one local headed browser only. #220 routing and #193 larger loading remain open.
Source frozen at6f9379a39bd7d72210466e7851b06a8569ccc9dd, PR226 now ready for review. Independent exact-source correction review is clear; long-title finding answered and resolved.
Final local expanded desktop/phone2/2 passed39.20s, zero retries/writes/errors: long parent names, keyboard End/Home, both inspector variants,560px-high window,≥90% code visibility, bounded readable nested preview and actual complete child navigation. Six PNGs and two JSON files independently inspected. Earlier negative and intermediate failures retained. The predecessor cfd7c24 CI was cancelled when the correction was pushed; its green Comprehensive run is not final acceptance.
Final CI40771892547 and Comprehensive40771892538 remain in progress. Need actual full artifacts, then exact native dev integration and post-dev acceptance before closing225. Dev remainsa531823. Priority224 is fully accepted and its owned temporary branch/worktree removed;220 stays open for item routing.
Additional read-only headed survey on the owned301-item copy: visible Card70 / Kanban61 / Gantt81 / Calendar63 / Activity42 text samples all≥14px and500weight. Sampling intersected viewport and ancestor clipping; this is scoped current-view evidence, not proof of every app state. Existing dashboard/table/overview evidence and new inspector negatives complement it. Stored nested-count maintenance has a concrete handoff on217, not a new overlapping issue.
