Docs canonical URLs point to pages that return 404 #33

Closed

Description

@rennf93

Every page on https://guard-core.github.io/djapi-guard/ declares a canonical URL that returns 404, for example https://guard-core.github.io/djapi-guard/latest/<version>/. mike appends the deployed version to site_url (urljoin(site_url, version) in mike/mkdocs_plugin.py), and site_url in mkdocs.yml already ends in /latest/, so the result is /latest/<version>/. Search engines are told the real copy of each page is a URL that does not exist.

    Thanks for opening your first issue on djangoapi-guard!

    To help us triage quickly, please make sure your report includes:

    • A clear reproduction (a short Django project or failing test is ideal)
    • Output of python --version && uv --version
    • The Python version range supported (>=3.10,<3.15) and which version you're on
    • pip show django guard-core djangoapi-guard (or equivalent) so we can see installed versions
    • Operating system, deployment target (gunicorn / uwsgi / asgi via daphne or uvicorn), and Redis configuration if relevant
    • Logs / tracebacks / Django middleware ordering and MIDDLEWARE setting

    A few pointers:

    Thanks again — a maintainer will be with you soon.
