AUDIT-015\n\nForward repair from master f627346 (tree d1d72d809024de69c5ceac740b7c0fa4b27f73b4). The integrated AUDIT-011 probe set file and directory LastWriteTimeUtc values but did not restore and verify the originals before the idempotence rerun.\n\nThis candidate captures both originals, restores each in an exception-safe finally path with read-back verification, and proves the complete snapshot returns to its pre-probe identity. Forced file and directory assertion failures verify restoration still occurs. Existing path/reparse, escape, official index/object hash-size, staging cleanup, lock/daemon exclusion, and negative cases remain unchanged.\n\n## Verification\n\n- Focused PowerShell suite: PLAYER_CACHE_PREPARATION_TESTS_OK count=17\n- PowerShell AST checks and git diff --check: passed\n- Gradle 9.5.1 / Java 25.0.3 isolated worktree-local home: offline test, verifyDependencyProvenance, check, and clean build passed with --no-daemon\n- Upstream replacement boundary: cache-preparation scripts are downstream internal workflow files absent from fixed upstream eacb323fbde3eff94d4f2ee7baacb059d84b8e3a; upstream anchors are explicitly empty\n\nNo product, Player, GUI, input, telemetry, updater, or infrastructure changes are included.
