Technical operations for my own business · Proxmox home lab · Seeking NOC, IT support, and technical support work
Texas City / Houston area · Available full-time for nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call
I built and operate my business's booking and payment systems. I investigate customer-reported failures, work through the application and its integrations, and verify the booking flow after a fix. My home lab and WGU coursework provide separate infrastructure practice.

B.S. Cloud & Network Engineering (AWS track), Western Governors University — expected December 2026; 83 of 112 credits complete.
Traced two booking failures that every health check missed to root cause: a missing organization record that let Stripe hold payment while no booking was created, and a service renamed in the backend while the booking site still sent the old IDs. Fixed both and verified the booking flow end to end.
Closed the monitoring gap behind those incidents: added logging and a database record of every email send, after finding that the provider's "accepted" response did not prove delivery.
These were two separate incidents with different causes, both fixed. They are business-system examples, not AD lab tickets. I do not claim a count of affected bookings or that an email provider accepting a message proves inbox delivery.
- Home lab portfolio: Proxmox, OPNsense virtual segmentation, Docker on Ubuntu, monitoring, and backup recovery. Nine Uptime Kuma monitors cover eight lab services and one production website. Recorded validation includes five virtual isolation/reachability tests and a guest restore followed by boot, DHCP, routing, and DNS checks. Those are recorded results, not a new live verification today.
- Windows AD support lab: Windows Server 2025 domain controller with DNS, OUs, users/groups, a file share, and Group Policy. Windows 11 client rebuild in progress; current domain sign-in and client-side policy/access checks are not validated. Includes support templates and planned exercises.
- WGU coursework: AWS EC2 monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, node_exporter, encrypted EBS, a restricted security group, and validated CPU/disk alert rules. Also a three-site network design with four VLANs per site and IPsec hub-and-spoke VPN, built as a GNS3 topology with OPNsense.
The physical home switch remains on a flat network. No home-lab notification delivery is configured. Coursework alert-rule validation does not establish a production notification pipeline.
