Mimodium is a Python research library for reproducible cell-free massive MIMO system-level simulations. It provides Dagreon task components for scenario generation, propagation and channel modeling, signal-processing algorithms, evaluation metrics, and visualization.
The documentation is available on Read the Docs.
Mimodium requires Python 3.12 or newer. Install the published package with:
python -m pip install mimodiumTo install Mimodium from a source checkout, run:
python -m pip install .The recommended development environment uses Pixi. From the repository root, install the locked environment and the editable Mimodium package with:
pixi installCheck formatting and lint the package, tests, and documentation with:
pixi run format-check
pixi run lintBefore merging a release commit or publishing a GitHub release, run the same release checks used by the publishing workflow:
pixi run release-checkDevelopers who do not use Pixi can instead create a virtual environment and install the development extra directly:
python -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
python -m pip install --upgrade pip
python -m pip install -e ".[dev]"Run the complete test suite with:
pixi run testBuild a local HTML preview with:
pixi run sphinx-build -b html docs docs/_build/htmlThe generated documentation is written to docs/_build/html.
For release validation, build the documentation with warnings treated as errors:
pixi run sphinx-build -E -W --keep-going -b html docs docs/_build/htmlMimodium is licensed under GPL-3.0-or-later; see LICENSE.
If you use Mimodium in a research publication, cite the specific software version archived on Zenodo using the metadata in CITATION.cff.
Mimodium is pre-release research software. Its API and numerical behavior may continue to evolve; pin exact versions and commits for reproducible studies.
