Summary

  • add a custom /sitemap.xml generated from the shared canonical publication policy
  • include the 14 explicit public pages, canonical public content, Now details, and runtime topic hubs
  • exclude drafts, version archives, utilities, feeds, assets, redirects, and podcast episode links
  • advertise the absolute sitemap once in robots.txt
  • extend the local no-image verifier from 18 to 19 routes with strict XML and robots checks

At this base, the audited source-derived sitemap contains 192 unique URLs: 14 static pages, 127 canonical public content pages, 14 Now details, and 37 topic hubs. The implementation does not hard-code that count.

Verification

  • node --test tests/*.test.mjs — 109 passed
  • npm run verify:html — 19 routes passed without requesting images
  • npx astro check — 0 errors, 0 warnings, 28 existing hints
  • git diff --check 92599ab..HEAD
  • two independent reviews; verifier false-positive finding fixed and re-reviewed clean

Stack

Depends on #248. Review and merge the SEO/AEO stack oldest-first.

Evidence boundary

No production/image build was run for this XML and routing-policy change. No preview deployment exists for PRs, and no Vercel build, deploy, or production smoke test was run.
