Summary

  • Adds scripts/install.sh (macOS/Linux) runnable via curl -fsSL ... | sh or wget -qO- ... | sh
  • Adds scripts/install.ps1 (Windows) runnable via irm ... | iex
  • Both resolve the latest GitHub release (or a pinned NEBEL_VERSION), download the matching asset, verify its SHA-256 against checksums.txt, and put nebel on PATH
  • README gets a new "From the internet" section above the existing offline/local-file install instructions, which stay as the no-internet fallback

Test plan

  • install.sh run end-to-end against the live v0.5.2 release (checksum verified, binary installed, nebel version printed correctly)
  • shellcheck -s sh scripts/install.sh clean
  • install.ps1 reviewed for PowerShell 5.1/7 compatibility (pure ASCII, no exit, idempotent PATH updates) and two bugs caught and fixed during review (checksum lookup, single-entry PATH corruption)
  • install.ps1 has not yet been run on an actual Windows machine — recommend testing before merge

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Adds scripts/install.sh (macOS/Linux, curl|sh or wget|sh) and
scripts/install.ps1 (Windows, irm|iex). Both resolve the latest GitHub
release or a pinned NEBEL_VERSION, verify the SHA-256 checksum from
checksums.txt, and put nebel on PATH. The existing offline/local-file
install instructions stay in the README as a fallback for machines
without internet access.
