Summary

  • keep localhost as the default only in local development
  • use the documented Streamlit ACA calculator URL as the production fallback when NEXT_PUBLIC_CALCULATOR_URL is unset

Validation

  • git diff --check
  • verified the current production chunk still contains the localhost fallback if no public env var is configured
  • local build not run: this repo uses bun.lock, and bun is not installed in this environment
