This copies the receipt 0.6 append workflow from
shim/receipt-0.6tomainbyte for byte, following #242. The default branch supplies the trusted pull_request_target YAML. All three explicit commit arguments and base-owned compatibility probes remain; comments describe receipt object reads, and every run block enables pipefail.The four shell blocks pass bash -n.
