Thank you for this! I have two old steam controllers I don't use anymore as well as an xbox 360 controller that I'd love to repurpose for this instead of buying a PS3 one |

I migrated your code to use Bluepad32.
This allows any bluetooth controller to work with this project. Just press the sync button on the controller and it will pair and stay paired. Legwork is still required to setup a PS3 controller to work, but should be possible.
I also added a async timer to blink an led while it's searching for a controller, then leaves it solid while connected.
I could never get the controllers I had to work that were supposed to be ps3 compatible. Now all my controllers work :)
