The orCAL name, the way into Preferences, is now the first item of the status bar in both layouts. The clock moves to the right, next to the window controls, and the pair goes under the name when large text does not fit on one line.

What changed
The orCAL name, the button that opens and closes Preferences, now holds the top-left corner of the window in both layouts (Colony navigation rule NAV-1,
design/navigation.md). Before, the clock held that corner and the name sat on its own row under the status message.src/ui/index.htmlandsrc/ui/tablet-mode/index.html:.status-brandis the first child of.status. The clock and the window controls are grouped in a new.status-endon the right. The status message row stays under the bar.src/ui/common/base.css:.statuswraps, and.status-endis pushed right withmargin-left: auto, so at large text sizes the clock and controls go under the name, still right-aligned, instead of overflowing the 360 px phone window.align-self: flex-startis dropped from.status-brand; it keeps-webkit-app-region: no-drag.The button itself is unchanged: same toggle, same
aria-expandedandbg_selectedopen state, same message as the Preferences Close button. The README already describes the name as being at the top left, so no doc change is needed. How it was verified
The pages were served from a local static server and opened in a browser outside Tauri (the pages run there with the Rust defaults):
.statushas no horizontal overflow (scrollWidth == clientWidth).aria-expanded="true"), Close closes it and returns focus to the name.No Rust code changed. CI runs the full build and test matrix.
