AUDIODSP_PIN moves from f98eb17 to audiodsp v0.6.9 (4de7609), and both packages' floor rises to pydevices-audiodsp>=0.6.9. v0.6.9 is the first audiodsp release that carries the 128-voice sampler the SoundFont instruments are built on, so the pin is named by tag again and the floor can name a release that has everything the packages use.

What moved beneath the components, by git log f98eb17..v0.6.9 -- src in audiodsp:

  • audiograph is new: a C graph runner over the existing kernels, on CPython, MicroPython and CircuitPython.
  • audiomath.cast_into is new, and audiopump.Ring comes to CircuitPython.
  • The MP3 decoder takes its buffers from the heap on ESP32 and the other CMake builds.
  • audioladder.Ladder takes a cutoff audio input for audio-rate filter FM, and the oscillator's exp2 moves into a shared header for it. With no input connected a Ladder renders the configured filter bit for bit, and LadderFilter moves its cutoff with set() only.

So no node a component builds on should render differently. The full suite and the parity and render gates in CI run against the new pin.

v0.6.9 is the first audiodsp release with audiosampler's 128-voice
ceiling, so the pin is named by tag again. Beneath the components,
audiograph and audiomath.cast_into are new, audiopump.Ring comes to
CircuitPython, and audioladder.Ladder takes a cutoff audio input that
LadderFilter does not connect; with no input a Ladder renders as before.
