Summary

  • Rotate page: RotateCounterclockwise / RotateClockwise → RotateLayoutCounterclockwise / RotateLayoutClockwise (table and example).
  • Table basics: obsolete RotateLeft() → RotateLayoutCounterclockwise().
  • SVG page: "supports the same scaling options as raster images" → names FitWidth, FitHeight, FitArea; SVG always keeps its aspect ratio; FitUnproportionally is raster-only.
  • Barcodes page: the QR example passed BarcodeFormat.EAN_13 → BarcodeFormat.QR_CODE.
  • Document operations page: LayerConfiguration, DocumentAttachment, DocumentAttachmentRelationship and Encryption40Bit/128Bit/256Bit → DocumentOperation.… (they are nested types; 12 places).
  • Document operations and ZUGFeRD pages: obsolete PdfA = true → PDFA_Conformance = PDFA_Conformance.PDFA_3B.

Why

Found in an AI documentation test: 16 developer questions, 2 AI agents each, every answer compiled against QuestPDF 2026.9.1. 8 of 32 answers did not compile and 2 used an obsolete API; all 10 came from these docs passages:

  • RotateCounterclockwise() never existed (the code renamed RotateLeft to RotateLayoutCounterclockwise on 2026-08-05; the docs update of 2026-08-12 used a different name) → CS1061.
  • .Svg().FitUnproportionally() does not exist → CS1061.
  • new Encryption256Bit, new LayerConfiguration without the DocumentOperation. prefix → CS0246.
  • PdfA = true → CS0618 (obsolete).

Check

  • All 10 changed snippets on the document-operations and ZUGFeRD pages compiled against QuestPDF 2026.9.1: no errors, no obsolete warnings.
  • Rotate and SVG names verified against QuestPDF.xml 2026.9.1 and the source on main.
  • No remaining RotateCounterclockwise, RotateClockwise, RotateLeft, RotateRight, bare nested DocumentOperation types or PdfA = in docs/.

…ames

The 2026.8 rename turned RotateLeft / RotateRight into RotateLayoutCounterclockwise / RotateLayoutClockwise. The Rotate page documented RotateCounterclockwise / RotateClockwise, which never existed, and the table example still used the obsolete RotateLeft.

… example

The SVG page said SVG supports the same scaling options as raster images, but SvgImageDescriptor offers only FitWidth, FitHeight and FitArea, so code calling FitUnproportionally on an SVG does not compile. The QR code example passed BarcodeFormat.EAN_13 to the renderer.

…dfA setting

LayerConfiguration, DocumentAttachment, DocumentAttachmentRelationship and Encryption40Bit/128Bit/256Bit are nested in DocumentOperation, so the snippets did not compile when copied (CS0246/CS0103). PdfA is obsolete; the examples now set PDFA_Conformance to PDFA_3B.
