The pages used long sentences in the passive voice, :ref: links, and the terms XLF and XLIFF for the same thing. They did not say which versions of XLIFF TYPO3 reads. The introduction described the guide as poorly composed. The page about character sets claimed that a varchar(10) field stores only three Chinese characters, and that a character can take five or six bytes. MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL count the length of a text field in characters, and UTF-8 takes at most four bytes. The page now explains utf8mb4, which a new installation uses, and the older utf8, which cannot store emoji. The page about permissions did not mention that a backend user has the field "Limit to languages" as well, which TYPO3 merges with the languages of the groups.
