There should be an option to remove the OS installation files. #62
Right now, I'm not planning to create any new instances, but the macOS and Windows installation files (.ipsw, .cdr) are still sitting on my system. It would be great to have an option in Settings to remove them. When I want to create a new instance later, I could simply download them again.
Please make this opt-in rather than the default, since my storage isn't big enough to hold them.
Hi @dinhanhthi, VMPal already has this. Open VMPal › Settings (⌘,) › Base OS, which lists the macOS restore images (.ipsw) and the Windows install media (.cdr). Click … on a row, choose Move to Trash, then empty the Trash. Your existing VMs don’t need these files, and New VM downloads them again the next time you make a VM.
From the command line, vmpal library lists them and vmpal delete-base-os <id> removes one.
