docs(react-virtual): explain element measurements in unit tests - #1369
CSS dimensions alone leave the viewport at zero in jsdom and happy-dom. I added scoped size mocks and explained which measurements the scroll element and items use.
Merging this PR will not cause a version bump for any packages. If these changes should not result in a new version, you're good to go. If these changes should result in a version bump, you need to add a changeset.
This PR includes no changesets

The documentation adds guidance for mocking layout measurements in DOM test environments and updates the API description of measureElement measurement sources and fallbacks.
Updates the documented default measurement source and fallback order. With useCachedMeasurements, the description now specifies that the cache or estimate is used without DOM measurement.
Document virtualizer test setup docs/framework/react/react-virtual.md
Adds guidance on mocking viewport and item measurements, with a Vitest example that restores mocked getters. It also covers ResizeObserver, custom measurement callbacks, and browser tests.
This documentation-only change introduces no identified merge-blocking risk.

Explanation
The title names the docs change for react-virtual about element measurements in unit tests, which matches the Testing section added to react-virtual.md and the measureElement clarification in virtualizer.md. It is specific and describes the primary change, so it passes.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description states the change: scoped size mocks for jsdom and happy-dom, plus an explanation of which measurements the scroll element and items use. It links issue #641 and fills in the checklist and release impact sections from the template. The Changes section is brief but gives the motivation. It is mostly complete. The description does not mention the measureElement wording change in docs/api/virtualizer.md, which is a minor omission.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changed files contain documentation only. The React Virtual Testing section directly addresses issue #641 by explaining the viewport and item measurements required in jsdom and happy-dom. The measureElement documentation correction supports that guidance by documenting the current measurement order. No unrelated product or public API changes are present.

Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue #641 expects the unit-test reproduction to render both rows. The PR adds testing guidance for scoped clientHeight, clientWidth, offsetHeight, and offsetWidth mocks, but it adds no automated regression test and does not establish that the reproduction passes. The measureElement documentation correction explains the required measurements but does not implement or verify the issue behavior.
Resolution
Add an automated regression test for issue #641. Use the documented scoped layout measurements and any required ResizeObserver mock. Assert that both expected rows render.

- Line 173: Update the prose accompanying the test mock to state that it
identifies items using the default `data-index` attribute and returns their
height only when that attribute is present. Explain that when `indexAttribute`
is set to a different name, the mock’s `hasAttribute` check must use that
attribute name instead.
- Around line 171-178: Scope the offsetHeight and offsetWidth getter mocks to
elements with data-index that are descendants of the scroller, using the
scroller selector established in the example. Keep the existing 40 and 320
measurements for matching list items and return 0 for other elements.

Add an automated regression test for issue #641 that applies the documented
element measurements and asserts both rows render. If the issue requires the
original test to pass without setup changes, implement and test the
corresponding runtime fix instead.
