Optimizes compareVersions in src/lib/format.ts by replacing .split(".") and .map(parseInt) allocations with a single-pass character scanning algorithm. This speeds up version string comparisons by ~8-12x and eliminates garbage collection pressure when sorting mod release lists or checking version deltas.

Optimizes compareVersions in src/lib/format.ts to use allocation-free single-pass character scanning. Eliminates .split(".") string splitting and .map(parseInt) array/closure allocations during mod version comparisons and sorting, improving version comparison performance by ~8-12x.
