Symptoms

Memory (RES and VIRT) leaks steadily until the game gets killed. RES rises by approx 10M/sec. On my computer with 16G RAM it takes about 15 minutes for the game to get killed.

Switching to proton-10 fixes the issue.

At least 2 other individuals from the Plan B Discord channel have confirmed problems and the proton-10 fix.

Reproduction

1. Run game
2. Start new game or load existing game.
3. Observe steady RES and VIRT increase in htop or similar.

Also worth noting, a much older version of the game (0.7.5, March 2024) exhibits the same behaviors on proton-10 and proton-11.
