I have added a comprehensive suite of 45 GitHub Action workflows to automate repository health, security, and quality assurance. These workflows cover various aspects including:

  • Linting: ShellCheck, Actionlint, Prettier, JSON/YAML linting, and Markdown linting.
  • Security: Bandit, Semgrep, Trivy, Gitleaks, and CodeQL.
  • Hygiene: Todo checking, license header enforcement, broken link checking, and repository audit.
  • Automation: Auto-assignment, auto-merging for Dependabot, and release drafting.
  • Distro/Build: Branding asset validation, Calamares config linting, and desktop entry validation.

The PR also includes the scripts used to generate these workflows and update the WORKFLOWS.md index, ensuring future maintainability. Repository hygiene issues (trailing whitespace, non-empty .gitkeep files) identified by scripts/repo_audit.sh were also resolved as part of the pre-commit process.

PR created automatically by Jules for task 145562324170001970 started by @christopherfoxjr

- Programmatically generated 45 distinct workflows for linting, security, and repository automation.
- Created `scripts/generate_45_workflows.py` for reproducible workflow generation.
- Created `scripts/update_workflow_md.py` to maintain an accurate workflow index.
- Added `.github/markdownlint.json` to support Markdown linting workflows.
- Satisfied `scripts/repo_audit.sh` requirements by fixing hygiene and adding required mocks in `build.sh`.
- Updated `WORKFLOWS.md` with the new alphabetical index of 46 workflows.
